Privacy enquiries and requests may be sent to Dr. Léa Roger, RMT’s Data Protection Officer, at contact@assurances-rmt.fr, or by post to the address above.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to information handled through this website. It does not replace privacy notices governing an insurance policy, claim, employment relationship or another service provided under a separate agreement.
The website is intended for corporate and professional enquiries. It is not directed to children under 13, and RMT does not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.
3. Information handled through the website
Information you choose to provide
The contact form displays fields for your name, company, work email, optional telephone number and message. The form is not currently connected to a delivery service and does not transmit the information entered into it. This policy will be updated before online delivery is activated.
Please do not include Social Security numbers, banking or payment details, health information, claim documents or other highly sensitive information in a general website enquiry.
Technical information
The hosting infrastructure may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, date and time, and security logs. RMT does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies on this website.
4. Why information may be used
Where relevant, information may be used to:
- deliver, maintain and secure the website;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse and technical incidents;
- respond to an enquiry when a contact channel is activated;
- take steps requested before entering into a business relationship;
- meet legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
Under European data protection law, the applicable legal bases may include RMT’s legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, steps taken at your request, compliance with legal obligations and, where required, consent.
5. Disclosure of information
Information may be accessible only to authorised RMT personnel and to service providers acting on RMT’s instructions when necessary to host, secure or operate the website. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, regulation, court order or a competent authority.
RMT does not sell personal information. RMT does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising and does not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
6. International access and transfers
RMT is established in France and the website’s target production host, o2switch, is located in France. A visitor accessing the website from the United States should therefore understand that technical information may be processed in France and subject to French and European law.
If a future service provider processes personal information outside the European Economic Area, RMT will use an appropriate transfer mechanism where required and update this policy accordingly.
7. Retention and security
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, applicable legal and regulatory requirements, dispute resolution and security. The period depends on the nature of the information and the relevant relationship with RMT.
RMT uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Rights in France and the European Economic Area
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
9. Privacy rights for United States residents
Depending on your state of residence, the law applicable to RMT and statutory exceptions, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether RMT processes your personal information;
- access or obtain a portable copy of that information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of information;
- opt out of a sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling, where those activities occur;
- limit certain uses of sensitive personal information;
- appeal a refusal to act on a request;
- receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising a right.
RMT does not currently engage in sales, targeted advertising or qualifying profiling through this website. Where applicable, RMT will treat an enabled Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device sending it.
California residents may also request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources, business or commercial purposes, and categories of recipients, where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to RMT. RMT does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
10. How to exercise a privacy right
Send your request to contact@assurances-rmt.fr. State your country or U.S. state of residence and describe the right you wish to exercise. RMT may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. An authorised agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification.
RMT will respond within the period required by applicable law. If an appeal right applies, reply to RMT’s decision using the same email address and state that you are appealing it.
11. External links and policy changes
External websites operate under their own privacy practices. RMT is not responsible for those practices. Material changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised update date.
